The rockefeller family has obtained an insane amount of wealth throughout the last century and have had quite a bit of influence over politics in our country and around the world. Gaining control of the world’s oil supply has become possible by establishing a new world order and David Rockefeller’s memoirs have brought light upon some of the schemes they’ve been trying to accomplish. Whether you want to ignore the signs of the elite families controlling society or not let’s just go ahead at take a look at just a few of the things they’ve been able to obtain in both the past and the present. From some of the most expensive paintings ever created to some of the most valueable real estate in the world, here are unbelievable things owned by the rockefellers.
11. Standard Oil Company
Standard oil was the original name given to the company that brought the rockefellers a great amount of weath and essentially turned John D. Rockefeller in the country’s first ever billionaire. It became the world’s most powerful monopoly and they were able to sell oil for such a cheap price that it basically destroyed any competitors that stood in their way. The aggressive pricing tactics worked miracles for the family and they gained wealth that they could only imagine and kept it in the family, making them like america’s royalty to a degree. Standard oil would begin to sell kerosene in large amounts to China once there was no competition in the US. In 1911, they were accused of running an illegal monopoly and they would eventually dissolve the oil conglomerate into 34 other companies, many of which still are among the companies with the largest income in the worldwide. This includes multinational oil and gas corporations such as ExxonMobil, and Chevron. It’s unclear how many other companies the rockefellers might be involved in after the disassembly of the mega company.
10. Kykuit
This historic home was built by the original John D. Rockefeller in Pocantico HIlls, north of New York City near the town of sleepy hollow. It was constructed in 1913 for the oil tycoon and was serve as the official residence for 4 generations until it was transformed into a national historic landmark, owned by the national trust for historic preservation. The word Kykuit is actually dutch which means the “lookout”. The home features 204 rooms and been described as the home god would have built if he had the money. The property consists of 250 acres of some of the most scenic land around the hudson river and has been known to be heavily guarded at times with armed guards since many people were quite upset with the rockefellers. Many visitors feel inclined to visit the expansive collection of art at the property which includes 70 pieces of modern sculptures and 100 works of modern art. There’s also believed to be a massive underground bunker here which should have kept them save from a nuclear war or even zombies.
9. Museum of Modern Art
This famous art museum located in midtown new york was primarily established by Abby Aldrich Rockefeller in 1929 who had a mysterious fascination with this genre. Also known as the Moma for short, the museum gained international prominence with the addition of many picasso pieces. It also displays masterpieces by Van gogh, Gaugin, Cezanne and Seurat. There are approximately 300,000 books and 200,000 works of modern art. After looking through quite a bit of the works displayed here, you have to wonder how much of it is actually art and if the rockefellers had an agenda to promote modern art as something more than what it truly is. Many people would likely leave this museum more confused about what art actually is than if they had never entered. For example this corn dog by modern artist Matt Keagan in an exhibit called, have you seen my language. Or maybe this one by Gauri Gill from the series Acts of Appearance.
